Between studying and student life, it's not always easy to keep track of everything. Our social counsellors Helga Kessler and Ronald Friedrich can often help before problems arise. But even in more difficult situations, they are happy to be your first point of contact and offer help in finding solutions. You can make an appointment via our online booking tool. Of course, the consultations are absolutely confidential and free of charge for students.

You can come to the social councelling for advice on the following topics:

• Financing your studies
• Work and study
• Social benefits
• Health insurance
• Assistance for international students
• Support in special situations (e.g. pregnancy)
• Studying with a child
• Assistance for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses
• general questions before starting a course of study or during the transition from study to work
• Contact persons for incidents of sexual harassment the facilities of the Studierendenwerk

Our social counselling service also visits your university and offers confidential, free advice directly at your university. We’ll keep you updated on the relevant dates in our news section. 

Please note: You must register for the consultation via our online appointment booking tool, Cituro! If there are two or more bookings per slot, the consultation will take place at the relevant university. If only one booking is made, the consultation will be conducted by telephone during the booked time slot.
