Social Counselling

Do you need advice on social or economic issues? Then our social counselling can give you valuable tips and answers. Ronald Friedrich and Helga Kessler can often help before problems arise. But they are also happy to be your first point of contact in difficult situations and offer help in finding solutions. You can make an appointment for a counselling session by phone or by e-mail. Of course, the counselling sessions are absolutely confidential and free of charge for students.

In addition to general questions before taking up studies or during the transition from studies to work, you can come to us for advice on the following topics:

  • Financing your studies
  • Work and study
  • Counselling and help in financial emergencies (emergency fund)
  • Social benefits
  • Health insurance
  • Assistance for international students
  • Support in special situations (e.g. pregnancy)
  • Studying with a child
  • Assistance for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses.

If you have questions concerning BAföG, please contact the Amt für Ausbildungsförderung.
